Alexis Pfeiffer MLC. Hom Dip I.H. MARH
 Alexis trained at the Lakeland College of Homeopathy and later completed a two year post-graduate course in Integrative Homeopathy. She is a member of the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths and abides by its professional Code of Ethics and Practice.
Alexis practises Integrative Homeopathy which means that she treats imbalances in the body and mind using a holistic approach depending on a person's individual needs. She uses homeopathic remedies, tissue salts and a wide range of flower essences and gem elixirs. Flower essences are ideal for supporting emotional or stress-related problems and they work very gently to unblock resistance to change. Homeopathic remedies work by gently stimulating the immune system so that the body starts to heal itself. A wide range of acute and chronic conditions, whether physical mental or emotional can respond to homeopathic treatment. Alexis also looks at diet and lifestyle and gives advice on the best form of exercise and methods of relaxation that would be beneficial.

Amber White
 Amber began her professional life in the NHS in 1981 as an Occupational Therapist. During this time she developed the ability to facilitate healing and in 1986 she trained in Mental Colour Therapy. Since then she has trained and practiced Holistic Massage, Pregnancy Masage, Basic and Advanced Reflexology, Maternity Reflexology and Baby Massage Teaching.
Amber's personal development has involved learning and practising Buddhist meditation, Native American Indian teachings and wisdom, over twenty years of developmental energy and healing work with her teacher Hilmar Schonauer, yoga and bodywork.
Amber's specialist area is working with fertility, assisted conception programmes, pregnancy, post-natal and baby massage and movement.
Amber's approach is to take a holistic view of the person as well as any presenting difficulty. A person may have a clear idea of what treatment they need such as reflexology, but sessions may also include relaxation, healing, energy work, counselling and self help recommendations.

Beatriz Linhares Dip Phyt, NMIMH,MRCHM
 Beatriz completed a four year full time course in herbal medicine in 1982 at the School of Herbal Medicine in Sussex.
In 1997 she qualified as a Traditional Chinese herbalist from the School of Chinese Herbal Medicine and undertook postgraduate training in Nanjing University Hospital China.
Beatriz practices using the best of both disciplines combining, where possible, the foundations of Traditional Chiniese Medicine even when Western herbs are prescribed. She is a very experienced practitioner with over 20 years in practice.
Beatriz teaches and supervises at two London Universities, training students in herbal medicine. She also runs a dermatology clinic at Whipps Cross Hospital. Her areas of expertise and interest are skin, fertility and hormonal conditions.
Beatriz is a long standing member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists and a member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Dominique Meeroff
 Dominique Meeroff is one of London's leading practitioners in helping people transform their lives with the Metamorphic Technique. She trained to teach Metamorphic Technique with Gaston Saint-Pierre and is a teacher-member of the Metamorphic Association.

Ellie Holly BSc. (Hons.) Herbal medicine, ITEC
 Ellie completed a full time four year degree in Herbal Medicine at Middlesex University in June 2000. Her degree included extensive training to a high standard in the medical sciences: pathology, diagnostic skills, pharmacology and pharmacy, as well as botany, herbal therapeutics, nutrition and clinical skills.
She has also had two years of clinical training at the Archway Clinic of Herbal Medicine in the Whittington Hospital, North London.
On qualifying, Ellie joined the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, the oldest professional body of herbal practitioners. As a complementary therapist, she is a member of Embody.
In addition to medical herbalism, Ellie practices aromatherapy. She qualified as an ITEC Massage therapist in 1998 and she has undertaken several further courses in specific massage techniques including deep tissue massage, osteopathic techniques for massage therapists, and advanced massage.

Francesca Cairns MA, ITEC, MIPTI, CthA
During my studies at the Churchill Centre in 1982 my tutors advised me that I had a real aptitude for physical therapeutics and I should take the ITEC Certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage. I sat the examination and to my delight passed with credit. From there I started to practice at a small multi-disciplinary clinic in Hampstead and The Aromatherapy Centre in Hendon. From 1984 to 1989 I continued my studies and received Certificates and Diplomas in Sports Injury & Therapy and Teaching from ITEC and a Certificate in Colour Therapy taught by Theo Gimbel.
By the mid nineties I felt I needed to rekindle my passion for my skills and returned to education at the University of Westminster to study a Master of Arts in Therapeutic Bodywork. I spent a wonderful 2 years immersed in a world of exploration of physical discipline in all its forms, both Eastern and Western and emerged with a Masters Degree in 1997.

 I have been working as a Reflexologist for over 17 years, having qualified in 1989.
I am currently the principal Tutor of ART and started teaching along side its Founder and Director, Anthony Porter in 1990. In 1998 I was awarded the title Honorary Fellowship of the ART Register of Advanced Reflexologists in recognition of services in Reflexology.
I also trained in Holistic massage in 1989, Traditional Thai Yoga Massage in Thailand in 1995, completed a humanistic counselling skills course and a practitioners short course in Optimum Nutrition led by Patrick Holford.
I also hold the International Institute of Reflexology's Certificate in Clinical Medicine.
I have been lucky enough to have worked with Reflexology in the film industry and have taught Reflexology courses in Ireland, Israel and Turkey. Over the past 17 years in Practice, I have been continuously encouraged by the powerful regenerative effect that the treatment of reflexology has in restoring the health of my patients across a wide range of disorders.  Hidemi Hatada has advanced teaching experience in the application of Alexander Techique to business, educational, musical and medical situations. She has given workshops in the UK and Japan and also teaches and trains other Alexander Technique teachers.
She is an experienced singer and keyboard player and is a registered A. T. teacher of the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM)
All STAT (Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique) members have completed three years of full-time training and abide by a code of ethics laid out by the Society.

 Jeanette Thomson qualified in Osteopathy in 1982 and qualified in Homeopathic Medicine in 1985. She has travelled widely, attending conferences and teaching in Europe, India, Japan, Malaysia, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand. Her treatments often combine western medical acupuncture and homeopathic medicine with osteopathy, naturopathy and laser therapy.  Jo Sorotos trained to Advanced Practitioner level with Kira Balaskas, of The School of Thai Yoga Massage in London, and also studied with Kira's teacher, Asokananda.  I have worked in, researched, written about, and been deeply absorbed by holistic health for nearly two decades.

 I have over 20 years experience as a counsellor and a homeopath, and find many problems respond really well to this combined approach. I have worked at the Haelan Clinic in Crouch End since 2002.
If you find yourself reading this profile, you are probably experiencing one or more of a range of emotions, which may include lack of self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship issues or other difficult experiences. Most of us will feel this way at some point in our lives.
I trained as an existential therapist, but over the years I have integrated the most effective skills of the main contemporary approaches (Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy/CBT and person-centred.) The benefits to you are that the therapy will be tailored to your individual needs and personal circumstances
In addition to individual psychotherapy I have recently trained in ‘family constellations’, a more systemic approach to therapy. I find this wider perspective enables me to appreciate the importance of both the client’s free will, and the powerful, and often conflicting, forces of the family system; the latter often dominate our best conscious intentions. Constellations provides awareness and an opportunity to release oneself from past patterns.
I currently facilitate regular monthly Family Constellation workshops at the Haelan. If, like many people, you are uncomfortable with groups, I also offer individual and couple sessions using this approach.
I have been a fully qualified homeopath since 1988 and see a number of clients purely in this capacity. I am happy to include homeopathic remedies, at no extra cost, as part of the counselling process. This approach is ideal where the concerns are both physical and psychological, for example severe PMS, panic attacks, or depression arising from a debilitating illness such as ME.

Jwala Tsai
 Jwala was born and raised in the city of
Chia-yi, Taiwan. Her interest in the healing arts and natural medicine was apparent from a young age. In 1992, she traveled to India, in search of a teacher with whom she could study.
She studied a few different traditions, before it became apparent that Ayurveda was the path she was destined to follow.
These days, Jwala is a fully qualified Ayurvedic practitioner. Originally trained by Atreya Smith, director of the European Institute of Vedic Studies. She also received a diploma from Dr Sunil Joshi, an expert in Pancha Karma, after training at his clinic in Nagpur, India. She completed an internship program at Dr Rao and Dr Kshires clinic in Pune, India. There she gained a deeper insight into the practical applications of Ayurveda.
An experienced Practitioner, Jwala worked from her practice at The Institute of Ayurveda in Zürich from 2003 to 2009.
Jwala is currently deepening her knowledge of Ayurveda, yoga, and Vedic Astrology, with renowned Vedic scholar Dr David Frawley.

Katherine Enskat
 After working in social care, I discovered massage and complementary therapies in the late 1990's. A discovery which initiated my own healing journey and sparked an interest in holistic health.
I was looking for something which had a view of the body which included the emotional and psychological dimensions as well as the physical; or rather something which addresses a person as a being, comprising many different planes of existence, including that of body, mind, emotions and soul.
I trained in aromatherapy, qualifying in 1999 and followed this with a short training in focused deep bodywork in 2001; both at the Tisserand Institute and have been practicing as a full time massage therapist since that time. I have just completed a foundation in Deep Bodywork (a form of Body Psychotherapy) with Silke Ziehl at the Open Centre.

Kevin Leong
 Kevin studied and qualified as a Bowen Therapist with the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia, which is the original and most recognised international Bowen Association. Since qualifying in July 2000 he has regularly treated people with a variety of conditions ranging from musculo-skeletal problems to asthma, hayfever and sleepling disorders.
As a Sports Massage and Injuries Therapist, Kevin treats people for a range of conditions. This includes sports people such as runners, rugby and football players, cricketers, rowers, tennis players, martial artists and snowboarders. Kim Wells B.A., Lic.Ac., Dip.J.C.M., Dip S.C.H.M., M.B. Ac., M.R.C.H.M
 Kim Wells combines herbal treatments with acupuncture, in both cases basing his diagnosis and treatment on T.C.M. principles. Kim Wells completed a three-year training in acupuncture in 1987 at The College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and then in 1988, took a one year course in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). organised by the Journal of Chinese Medicine. In 1991, following a two year intensive training in Chinese Herbal Medicine, he obtained a diploma from the School of Chinese Herbal Medicine. In 1992, he completed a one month clinical training in herbal medicine at a hospital in Nanjing, China. He is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. Both of these bodies ensure that member have adequate training and clinical experience and follow a strict code of professional ethics. Mamta Nanda
 Mamta Nanda is a Reiki Master in Usui Shiki Ryoho, the traditional form of Reiki as it used to be taught by Mrs. Hawayo Takata. Mamta has been practising Reiki since 2001 and has trained with Tripuri Dunne. Over the years Mamta has had the privilege of spending time with and learning from several Reiki Masters, some of whom were initiated by Mrs Hawayo Takata. She has also been representing The Reiki Association on the Reiki Regulatory Working Group (RRWG).
Having seen how beneficial Reiki is for herself and her two children, Mamta was inspired to set up a Reiki clinic in South West London for Pregnant Women, Mothers and Babies. Having moved to North London, she now runs the clinic there.
Mamta is also a recognised Metamorphic Technique Practitioner. She offers Ear Candling treatments, works with Bach Flower Remedies and has a vibrant interest in nutritional healing.

 Maxine qualified as a massage/beauty therapist in 1986 and went on to gain CIDESCO certification (the highest qualification a beauty therapist can achieve) followed by an ITEC teacher training certificate.  Michelle, a British Acupuncture Council member and a mother-of-two is very passionate in supporting couples trying to conceive. She investigates every aspect of a woman’s health history and habits to determine which organs and meridians are out of balance, and then recommends a regimen of acupuncture, exercise, relaxation techniques and/or dietary changes to restore equilibrium to her body. I undertake Continuing Professional Development.
Fees
I operate a sliding scale for fees based on the individual's circumstances - usual individual fee is £60.00. Couples fee is usually £100.00 per 1 hr session or pro rata for a longer session. They are payable at the end of each session by cash or cheque or monthly in advance. Some concessions are available - depending on circumstances. I also work with insurance companies
Fees are revised on an annual basis.
Confidentiality and Ethics. I am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP) as well as the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). All the work I conduct is confidential and undertaken in accordance with their respective codes of ethics.

Times
Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually on a weekly basis, and occasionally twice weekly if required - usually at the same time and place.
Cancellation Policy
7 days notice is needed for any date/time changes or cancellations. Otherwise the full fee is usually charged. There is some flexibility in the event of an emergency.
Shorter term counselling can be mutually agreed for varying times, i.e. 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and so on. This can be renewed as often as required.
4 weeks notice is required before ending longer-term therapy.
I do not charge if I am away or forced to cancel.

Peggy Guglielmino
 Peggy trained at the European College of Holistic Medicine and graduated in Hypnotherapy, Life Coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming. Peggy completed later on her Masters degree in Neuro-Linguistic programming and also holds a diploma in Relationship coaching.
Peggy belongs to the British Institute of Hypnotherapy and is an Advanced Lightning Process practitioner which she has taught for many years and in helping M.E and CFS and depression sufferers. Peggy is also tutoring in NLP, Hypnotherapy and Life Coaching in the Phil Parker Training Institute in London.

Samantha Flower, C.H.Ed (DipNuTh)
 Samantha became interested in Nutrition when, after many years of suffering, she cured herself of irritable bowel syndrome, chronic eczema and asthma. Amazed by her rapid improvement she decided to study dietary therapy. She was later diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome as a consequence of overwork and over-training. Samantha decided to embark upon an extreme dietary regime. Within the space of nine months she had made a complete recovery. This reinforced her faith in the power of dietary healing. It also ignited her specialist interest in degenerative conditions.
Samantha undertook her studies at The Kevala Centre, the prestigious holistic learning college in Torquay, graduating with distinctions in both Nutritional Therapy and Iridology.
She is also a qualified tutor. Samantha lectures at The Kevala Centre in Nutritional Therapy, Detoxification and Integrated Health Management. She is the author of a course entitled: Detoxification: A Maintenance Plan for Healthy Living which she was commissioned to write for the college.

Stephanie Price
 I first discovered the amazing healing benefits of natural remedies and alternative healing 10 years ago, after a particularly stressful job in the music industry which left me quite unwell. This was my first realisation that we are 3 part beings - mind, body and spirit, and so my healing journey began. My first training was in Reiki in Sydney Australia, with the internationally acclaimed Reiki teachers and authors Frans and Bronwen Stein.
On returning to the UK, I trained in Holistic Massage and Anatomy and Physiology in 2004 and then went on to study with the London School of Sports Massage and obtained a BTEC Professional Diploma in Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy. I also gained qualifications in Indian Head Massage, Advanced Deep Tissue techniques, Pregnancy Massage and Reiki level 2 and 3.
I regularly further my knowledge through workshops and courses and continue to add a variety of new techniques to my massage treatments. I have completed almost all of the Holistic Medical massage series with Jing Advanced Massage and Training in Brighton, including neck and shoulder conditions, shoulder girdle, hip and pelvis and Carpel Tunnel Syndrome.
I regularly practice yoga and meditation and take an active interest in diet and supplements after completing a introductory Kinesiology course 2 years ago. I try to take a holistic viewpoint when treating clients and believe that massage, combined with a healthy diet, regular exercise, rest and relaxation, and a positive mind can help restore the body's natural balance, therefore enhancing general wellbeing.
I tend to work very slowly and deeply with strokes that focus on releasing the fascia (connective tissue) as well as the soft tissues, my clients often comment on how grounded they feel after a treatment.
I have over 5 years experience of helping clients out of pain, to recover from operations or injury, or to just simply slow down and relax.

Susan Tyrrell
 Susan graduated in 1993 with a degree in Osteopathy and continues in post-graduate education and development, working alongside many different osteopathic practitioners. She teaches Cranial Osteopathy at undergraduate level (British College of Osteopathic Medicine) and postgraduate level (Sutherland Cranial College).

Victoria Worsley
 Victoria has 20 years' experience as an actor, movement director, theatre maker and was until recently Artistic Director of Jade. Her experience of the Feldenkrais Method began over 20 years ago as a student of performance with Monika Pagnuex in Paris and finally led her to the Professional Feldenkrais Practitioner Training with the FITC (Lewes 4). She also teaches Feldenkrais at drama schools, for theatre companies and individual performers but her work at the Haelan Centre is for people from all walks of life.
