Mindful Yoga


Mindfulness is the ability to bring ones attention to the present moment with an attitude of acceptance and non-judgment. It is this ability to be with ones experience 'as it is' without needing it to be different in any way that can offer a gradual path of freedom; freedom from stress, anxiety, depression and many other conditions, as well as awakening ones capacity for well-being.

Mindful Yoga combines mindful awareness with the practice of Hatha yoga postures. In the sessions we will practice Yoga asana (postures) both developing bodily awareness, strength, flexibility, vitality and ease, as well as anchoring our attention within the experience of the present moment, the breath, bodily sensations, thoughts and emotions that may arise. This way of being with the postures offers a wonderful opportunity for self-observation and learning, for reconnecting body/mind, for deep relaxation, for self acceptance, self care and ease.


Rosie Dores teaches Yoga on Wednesdays from 1:30pm - 3:00pm.
