Jeanette Thomson DO., ND., D.Hom(Med)

JeanetteJeanette Thomson qualified in Osteopathy in 1982 and qualified in Homeopathic Medicine in 1985. She has travelled widely, attending conferences and teaching in Europe, India, Japan, Malaysia, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand. Her treatments often combine western acupuncture and homeopathic medicine with osteopathy, naturopathy and laser therapy. Other treatments such as therapeutic massage, relaxation therapy, reflexology and cranial osteopathy are used when indicated. She also practices vega health screening.

Jeanette practices at the Haelan Clinic on:
Mondays and Tuesday from 9:30 to 6pm; and
Friday from 9am to 6pm.

Jeanette has another practice in Barnet, she works there on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays phone 020 8275 9435 to make an appointment.

Treatments can be 15 minutes (child appointments); 30 minutes or 1 hour long.

Charges are: £17.50; £35 and £70 accordingly.

Kim Wells B.A., Lic.Ac., Dip.J.C.M., Dip S.C.H.M., M.B. Ac., M.R.C.H.M

KimKim Wells combines herbal treatments with acupuncture, in both cases basing his diagnosis and treatment on T.C.M. principles. Kim Wells completed a three-year training in acupuncture in 1987 at The College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and then in 1988, took a one year course in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). organised by the Journal of Chinese Medicine. In 1991, following a two year intensive training in Chinese Herbal Medicine, he obtained a diploma from the School of Chinese Herbal Medicine. In 1992, he completed a one month clinical training in herbal medicine at a hospital in Nanjing, China. He is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. Both of these bodies ensure that member have adequate training and clinical experience and follow a strict code of professional ethics. He practices acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in Stroud, Gloucestershire, and in North London.

Kim practices at the Haelan Clinic on:
Thursdays 1pm - 6pm
Saturdays from 9am to 6pm
Home visits can also be arranged.

Treatments are usually given once a week initially and at longer intervals as improvement occurs. Recently acquired conditions usually required less treatment than those that have persisted for a long time. Each treatment takes three-quarters of an hour.

Charges are:
All treatments (three quarters of an hour) £28
There are concessions for children and those on a low income.

Daphne Roubini

DaphneDaphne Roubini trained in reflexology in Melaca, Malaysia, in 1990, completing an apprenticeship with a renowned practitioner, Peter Lim. She also completed a course in reflexology recognised and recommended by the Association of Reflexologists in England, of which she is a member.
Daphne then studied oriental aromatherapy massage and bodywork at the Institute of Traditional herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy. She graduated in 1991 and is now a member of the Register of Qualified Aromatherapists.
Since then she has concluded numerous related training including, Chinese pulse diagnosis, healing, teaching baby massage and Bach flower remedies, as well as being dedicated to her own personal development and authenticity.
Daphne Roubini has been in private practice specialising in aromatherapy and reflexology since 1990 and is an experienced teacher and workshop leader.

Daphne's Clinic Hours:
Daphne works from her private practice in Mountview Road, Crouch End on Tuesday, Thursday afternoon and Saturday.

Charges are:
Reflexology £35 (1 hour)
Massage and bodywork £35 (1 hour)
Aromatherapy £38 (1 hour) or £48 (1 and a half hours)

Some concessional treatments are available.

Ellie Holly BSc. (Hons.) Herbal medicine, NMIH

EllieEllie Holly is commuted to restoring and maintaining good health through herbal medicine and advice on diet and lifestyle.
She has completed a full time, four-year course leading to a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Herbal Medicine at Middlesex University. She has studied the Medical Sciences: pathology, diagnostic skills, pharmacology and pharmacy, as well as botany, herbal therapeutics, nutrition and clinical skills to a high standard. She has also had two years of clinical training at the Archway Clinic of Herbal Medicine in the Whittington Hospital, North London.
As a member of the national Institute of Medical Herbalists, she is fully insured and subject to a code of ethics and disciplinary procedure. The Institute is the oldest professional body of herbal practitioners and was founded in 1864.

Ellie practices at the Haelan Clinic on:
Wednesdays from 5pm - 9pm
Fridays from 5pm - 9pm

First consultations generally last for one hour; subsequent visits usually last for half an hour.

Charges are:
First consultation £35
Follow up consultations £20

Consultations in your own home can be arranged for an additional fee of £10.

The herbal medicine prescribed usually cost between £5 and £7 per week. Ellie uses organic herbs wherever possible. In the interests of the environment, please return empty glass jars and bottles to Ellie for recycling.

Reduced rates are available for children or those on a low income.

Stephanie Harrington

StephanieStephanie Harrington has trained in Shiatsu with the highly esteemed Sonia Moriceau, in a particular approach to Shiatsu called Healing - Shiatsu. She is also fully qualified in Indian Head Massage.

Stephanie practices at the Haelan Clinic on:
Sundays from 12 - 4pm

In acute conditions the client is advised to come weekly. When his/her condition is stabilised he/she can then come fortnightly, and finally monthly for a check-up. In that sense the whole process of healing is individual and practitioner and client can decide together on the best course of action

Charges are:
Healing Shiatsu (One hour) £28
Indian Head Massage (20 minutes) £10
